The rooms are as pictured and are quite cozy. The showers have great pressure and hot water. The cleaning staff are amazing and quick to clean. The Lodge owners are awesome! Quick to respond, and they have great pricing. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Great place to stay. Rooms were clean, maybe use more of a neutral scent in the rooms for those who are more sensitive to stronger smells. Only other thing that sucked was that the parking spot literally right in front of our room door, had another car parked there the second night. Overall, check in was seamless and the stay was great!

Our group stayed as a semi-guided ice fishing weekend (we provided our own equipment). Kevin was very upfront with us the entire time about what to expect. A week prior to our stay he called to let us know that the fishing had been less than spectacular and that they had received a lot of snow making it hard to get around, allowing us to make an informed decision on coming or rescheduling. We opted to give it a go. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Kevin and his wife were very friendly. We spent two days fishing. They kept us on fish the entire time. The bite was not perfect but we caught a good amount of perch and walleye. Overall we were very happy with our stay. We will definitely be coming back.

Sportsman Lodge is exactly as advertised. I did not fish with them and only stayed at the motel. The owners were accommodating to my very late night arrival and communicated well during my stay. It is a basic motel room at an extremely affordable rate. Yes, it is slightly dated but it's a place to stay for fishing/hunting. If you're looking for luxury, there are plenty of options in Devils Lake for 2-5x the price. The location was perfect, the on-site fish cleaning station was great, and you can essentially pull your vehicle right up to your door which was convenient for loading/unloading gear. I would definitely stay here again.

We came to Devils Lake for a hunting trip. We arrived early and there was no problem checking in early. The lady in charge of housekeeping was filling in for the owners who were away. She was very friendly ,helpful and accommodating. Our dogs were allowed in the room with no extra charge. The lodge has accomodations for cleaning, tagging and storing fish, ducks and pheasants. Didn't have much luck with hunting and there was no problem checking out early. We'll be back next year for sure and I highly recommend that fishermen and hunters check the place out, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The cleanest and one of the best hotel/sportsman lodge I have ever stayed at. My husband loves to ice fish and we love adventures being said I have stayed at many lodges throughout our time. From the reservation to the check out was so simple and clear communication the whole way through! I even had a slight omg we are stuck in the snow phon call and the owners lead us to the right place. I appreciate the stay so much! We will be back. Very pet friendly to add so the fact the room was so clean and comfy I wish I could give them 100 stars! Thank you we look forward to our next stay.

Great people that own this lodge. Rooms are perfect for a fisherman that just needs somewhere to lay their head. Dogs are welcome at no additional fee. No loud dogs were there when we were, rooms were not dirty like they had ever had dogs in them. Talked to the owner to give me some tips to fish Devils Lake since I was from out of town and there for one day. Needless to say, we caught fish where he said to go. SO THANK YOU! Will stay here again if we come back to Devils Lake.

Our ice fishing trip with Kevin and Rika was unforgettable! From the start, they were so helpful and communicative, making sure we had all the details we needed before the trip. Even though the bite was tough, they never stopped working hard to get us on fish, and their dedication to our success was clear every step of the way. Kevin and Rika are genuinely amazing people who truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to create a great experience. Kevin and Rika maintained constant communication with each other about where the fish were biting, as well as with other guests to stay updated on their successes. We cannot express enough how dedicated Kevin and Rika are making sure folks have a memorable trip as they put in extremely long days by being out on the ice well before sunrise and well after sunset. This is not a one-time deal for us, we are already planning our next trip. We highly recommend this trip to anyone looking or a unique, memorable adventure!
